Dorrigo is a beautiful rural town located on the eastern edge of the spectacular New England
plateau. The high school is a vibrant part of the community and draws from the township itself, surrounding farmlands and small villages such as Dundurrabin, Hernani and Ebor.
Dorrigo High School has a fine tradition of serving its community and celebrated its fiftieth anniversary in 2006. We offer a diverse curriculum and have opened our school to adult learners who can return to school and participate in lifelong learning opportunities.
Students are offered a wide range of cultural, sporting and academic activities and excel in areas such as debating, rugby union, soccer and canoeing to name a few. in 2006, our Tournament of Minds team gained second place nationally, which was an amazing achievement for a small rural school.
The local community is extremely proud and supportive of us and this contributes to the positive culture that is evident to all who attend and visit the school.
2007 has seen the introduction of a range of new innovative activities such as extension of our great technology facilities with an interactive whiteboard program, and new curriculum activities and we look forward to continued growth of the school.
Come and visit us if you are passing through our beautiful town!
